Professional Statement
I am a licensed mental health counselor and expressive arts therapist. My practice is client centered rooted in holistic approaches including compassion, strengths based, positive psychology and meditation/mindfulness.
I received my bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from Kutztown University, Pennsylvania and completed my Master's Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University, Massachusetts. While much of my experience has been working with pre-teens and adolescents in residential and school systems, my niche is working with adults and college students navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, and relationships.
I believe therapy is about improving quality of life, self compassion and acceptance; to feel grounded and at peace with ourselves and our environment. As we build self awareness we are able to establish skills and structure to navigate everyday stressors, challenges and overwhelming emotions. I incorporate CBT tools, Expressive Arts, feedback and sometimes “homework” (yes, I said homework; but I swear it can be fun!) for your personal growth and healing journey.
Outside of work, I am passionate when it comes to all things health and wellness. I enjoy cooking nutritious meals to support the mind, body and soul, flowing through a variety of yoga classes and simply being out in the sun and nature.
