Professional Statement

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker at Hope Ave Therapy dedicated to helping individuals find greater well-being and balance in their lives. My practice is dedicated to supporting adolescents, college and graduate students, young professionals, and adults, particularly those in high-pressure careers such as finance, healthcare, tech, and law. While I have extensive experience working with men’s mental health and issues regarding masculinity, my approach is inclusive and tailored to the unique needs of each client, regardless of gender.

I specialize in treating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorder). Many of my clients seek support for self-esteem, identity development, interpersonal relationships, perfectionism, and work-life balance. My approach is dynamic and collaborative, and integrates elements of evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.

I strive to create a therapeutic space that is both supportive and dynamic—one where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in meaningful ways. My approach blends warmth, non-judgment, and humor, along with direct feedback to help you gain insight while also encouraging real, practical change. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, break free from anxiety, or navigate trauma, I am here to help you develop the tools and strategies that align with your values and goals to build a more fulfilling life.

I received my bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and my master’s in social work from Boston College. Prior to joining Hope Ave Therapy, I worked as an outpatient therapist at Riser + Tread, a group private practice specialized in supporting male adolescents and young adults, as well as their parents. My clinical training includes placements at Tufts Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry and MetroWest Medical Center, an affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent five years in investment banking and private equity, including analyst roles at Blackstone and Carlyle. During this time, I saw firsthand how high stress, long hours, and uncompromising expectations can impact both performance and well-being. These experiences led me to deeply explore and actively experiment with effective ways to navigate emotional challenges in demanding environments. Along the way, I found great fulfillment in supporting colleagues and friends as they worked through their own personal and professional struggles. This ultimately led me to transition from finance to mental health, where I could focus on what I found most rewarding—helping others build more balanced and meaningful lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy strength training and watching stand-up comedy, but most of all, I love spending quality time with family, friends, and my labradoodle, Skylar.
