Professional Statement
James has a variety of clinical experiences, including high school counseling, college counseling, and early intervention for psychosis in an outpatient setting. James is currently a staff psychologist at Babson College’s counseling center. Prior to coming to Babson College, James worked at Roger Williams University’s counseling center for four years, where he also trained as an intern and postdoctoral fellow. James’ clinical style integrates several approaches, including interpersonal therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. James’ clinical interests include anxiety, depression, identity development, sports psychology and performance anxiety, substance use, and relationship issues. James eared his BA from Gordon College and his doctorate from William James College. In his spare time, James enjoys exercise, fishing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
