Professional Statement
I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing at Hope Ave Therapy in Waltham, MA. I predominantly work with adolescents and my therapeutic approach is derived from person-centered therapy while incorporating aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
I offer services to adolescents and young adults experiencing emotional distress relating to anxiety, depression, trauma, Bipolar disorders, psychosis, self-harm, suicidality, difficulties attending school, and identity. I also provide treatment for Eating Disorders as well as to adolescents and young adults showing emerging symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Providence College and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Suffolk University. I completed my clinical internship at Riverside Life Skills Center and School in Needham, MA, which is a day treatment center and therapeutic day school for adolescents diagnosed with various mental health disorders whom are struggling to engage in their school and community. Throughout graduate school, I worked at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA on an inpatient unit for adults diagnosed with Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia Spectrum and other Psychotic Disorders, Depressive Disorders, and other significant mental health disorders. Following graduation, I worked as a clinician at Walden Behavioral Care in Braintree, MA at the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treating adolescents with Eating Disorders including, but not limited to, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. After working at Walden, I assisted in opening an additional location for Riverside Life Skills Center and School in Milford, MA, which is where I currently work as the Program Director. In addition to providing individual services, I also offer family support and facilitate numerous therapeutic groups.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like to watch Netflix, take spin classes, dance to Taylor Swift, and relax by the beach.
